Rheumatic aortic valve disease—when and who to repair?

Ahmed Afifi, Hatem Hosny, Magdi Yacoub

Abstract

Rheumatic valve disease is an endemic problem that is responsible for substantial morbidity and mortality in many countries. We here describe various methods of repair and outline our favoured techniques.
