The Annals of Cardiothoracic Surgery (ACS) is a bi-monthly peer-reviewed publication that is dedicated to the advancement of cardiothoracic surgery. It is our goal to create a journal with a unique structure and format, which will provide tremendous improvement in our ongoing understanding and sharing of knowledge.

The ACS is a bi-monthly peer-reviewed publication, dedicated to the field of cardiothoracic surgery. The primary objective of the ACS is to provide critical analysis and a comprehensive overview of contemporary topics within cardiothoracic surgery. This is accomplished through the unique and innovative format of each published issue. Each issue is over-seen by a special Guest Editor and is thoroughly explored through specifically categorized sections: Systematic Reviews, Original Studies, Research Highlights, Perspectives, Safeguards and Pitfalls, Illustrated Articles and a special multimedia section “Masters of Cardiothoracic Surgery”, which features operative videos provided by renowned surgeons.
